How I Finally Found the Perfect Skiing Layers ⛷️❄️

Sep 27,2024 | Senbwl Sports

Skiing is one of my favorite winter activities, but it’s taken me a while to figure out how to dress for it properly. The key is layering, but it took a lot of trial and error to get it just right. Now that I’ve nailed it, skiing has become so much more enjoyable—and I don’t find myself constantly adjusting my clothing to stay warm or cool off.

My Layering Strategy for Skiing

  • Moisture-Wicking Base Layer: First things first, I’ve switched to moisture-wicking base layers. I used to just wear regular thermal shirts, but they didn’t handle sweat well. Now, I’m using moisture-wicking gear, which keeps me dry all day long.
  • Fleece Mid-Layer: Next, I add a fleece layer. It’s light, but warm enough to keep me comfortable even when the temperature drops on the slopes.
  • Ski Jacket: Finally, I throw on my ski jacket. The key is to find something that’s not too bulky but still protects from the wind and snow. With the right inner layers, the jacket becomes the perfect finishing touch.

Ever since I started using Senbwl base layers, skiing has been a lot more enjoyable. I’m not sweating in the middle of a run, and I stay warm throughout the day. If you’re hitting the slopes this winter, good base layers are essential.

Customer Q&A

Q: What should I wear under my ski jacket for optimal warmth?
A: Use a moisture-wicking base layer to stay dry, followed by a fleece mid-layer for warmth. This combination will keep you comfortable all day on the slopes.
